Wardell Stephen "Steph" Curry II who was born on March 14, 1988, is an American acknowledged b-ball player for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Many critics and professionals have addressed him as the most renowned shooter in NBA history. He is charged with changing the sport of basketball by encouraging crews to continually use the three-point shot. A six-time NBA All-Star, Curry has been selected as the NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) twice and won three NBA championships with the Warriors.

Stephen Curry

The offspring of a retired NBA player Dell and the older brother of popular NBA player Seth, Curry performed in the team college basketball for the Davidson Wildcats. He established the all-time scoring record for both Davidson and the Southern Conference and was doubly marked as the conference's player of the year. Throughout his student year, Curry also set the single-season NCAA history for three-pointers made and was then chosen by the Warriors with the seventh overall selection in the 2009 NBA Draft. In 2014–15, Curry gained his first MVP award and led the Warriors to their prime championship since 1975. The subsequent season, he became the first professional in NBA history to be named the MVP by a public vote and to begin the league in scoring while shooting above 50–40–90. That very year, the Warriors subdued the cut for the most wins in an NBA season en route to entering the 2016 NBA Finals, which they succumbed to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Curry encouraged the Warriors to turn to the NBA Finals in the years 2017, 2018, and 2019, winning consecutive trophies in 2017 and 2018, before being crushed by the Toronto Raptors in 2019.

Stephen Curry

Throughout the 2012–13 season, Curry set the NBA history for three-pointers made in a normal season, with 272. He beat his own record with a cut in 2015 with 286, and again in 2016 with 402. Curry is now third in all-time made three-pointers in NBA chronicle and adjacent to teammate Klay Thompson, the duo has received the nickname of the Splash Brothers; in 2013–14, they established the cut for joined three-pointers in an NBA season with 484, a record they divulged the following season (525), and then in the 2015–16 season (678).

Stephen Curry consistently sets up 300 shots after each drill during the season, and throughout the offseason, Curry will increase his shooting to over 500 shots a day. Stephen Curry makes certain to shoot three kinds of shots. He’ll commence by shooting spot-up 3’s where he shoots from the identical place on the floor over and over repeatedly. Following, Stephen Curry shoots dribble pull-ups. He concentrates on transforming as fast as probable from dribbling to shooting. This supports the “quick trigger” he is distinguished for having. He completes his shooting routine training his floaters which he uses to loft the ball up and over giant opponents when he seizes to the rim.

Neurocognitive Training: To make sure that his hand and eye coordination is at par and his decision-making skills, Stephen Curry uses a light display system and a set of goggles that are specifically designed for this purpose. Stephen Curry uses the goggles to distract himself while he is practicing the dribbles. It helps him build focus and mind and body connection. When he uses the light system, Stephen Curry practices dribbling while facing the display and when a particular color of light flashes towards him, he performs the designated move. This helps him improve his reaction time and speed. It also helps him to improve on his decision-making skills which is helpful for the defenders at the court.

That was all about Stephen Curry's workout routine and his daily schedule. Now moving onto what makes Stephen Curry so fit and agile for his day to day life activities, what does he eat and do throughout the day.

Stephen Curry Diet Plan

Stephen Curry Diet Includes –

  • Breakfast – Fresh fruit with milk, cereals, eggs, and fruit juices or green tea.
  • Lunch – Three vegetables, including lentils, paneer, and seasonal vegetables with salad, curd, rice, and chapati.
  • Dinner – Two to three non-heavy vegetables with salad, rice, and chapati. This is all about the diet meal plan of Stephen Curry.

Ayesha Curry is a celebrated cook with different cookbooks by her name, and will be entertaining ABC’s new cooking program “Family Food Fight”. As you may suspect, she makes the bulk of Steph’s food. Curry says that he is aware of his diet and his meals. He makes sure that he is getting as many calories as are required by his body which depends on his daily schedule too. In his words,

Stephen Curry
“pretty closely. With how much we run during games, and how many games we play, I need as many calories as I can get. It’s not a very strict diet at all, but the more years I go, the more experience I have, the more that nutrition and eating the right foods is important for recovery and things like that. So I try to study that more, but I’m pretty much on the ‘eat whatever you can diet’ just to get those calories in.”

For the breakfast meal, Ayesha sets up Stephen Curry a good and filling smoothie that is full of fiber and antioxidants. He is usually in a rush in the morning so something ready to go is perfect for him. At 10 am, Ayesha makes plans for lunch and starts preparing. She makes 10 containers which are filled with a veggie option, some kind of protein, and some starch source like sweet potatoes(healthy of course.) These 10 containers normally last for a few days because Stephen Curry uses them as snacks sometimes. The whole family sits together for dinner from 6 30 to 7 pm. One of the favorite dinner meals for the family is pasta. Ayesha makes her favorite and well-renowned pasta sauce along with some chicken with the pasta dish.

Stephen Curry

When he is about to play the game, Stephen Curry is known for having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before the game as a pre-game snack. Who knew such a healthy player would gain energy from a childhood staple? That was the end of Stephen Curry's diet plan.

Stephen Curry Sleep Schedule

Like his rival LeBron James, Steph makes sure that he is sleeping and tries to get at least 8 hours of rest every single night. He likes to monitor his sleep and makes sure that is getting 8 hours of consistent sleep which will help his sleep clock to adust too which is a part of his natural circadian rhythm. He has even consulted a performance-enhancing sleep specialist known as Cheri Mah, Stephen Curry has also begun to cut out screen time before bed. Mah says that staying on your phone or watching Netflix before bed negatively influences sleep. Thus Stephen Curry likes to turn off all his gadgets and appliances an hour before his bedtime so that it does not disrupt his sleep patterns.

Stephen Curry

For Stephen Curry, sleeping properly definitely gives me an edge over others during the game day. Many players in the NBA are known to sacrifice their sleep to have fun and pursue nightlife activities and stay up late at night. However, Stephen Curry is more determined to make it through the championship than going to the nightclubs to enjoy the nightlife.

Stephen Curry Rest and Recovery

Stephen Curry

For Stephen Curry, recovery is quite important and so Stephen Curry performs a lot of stretching exercises like yoga and soft tissue restoration. He is also following a novel kind of recovery method which is called sensory deprivation tanks. This is quite an interesting technique that includes dipping the body in a tank that contains body temperature water saturated in Epsom salts and magnesium. These minerals are known to help recover the body and repair the cells in his body as he floats in that tank.He also told previously in an interview that the tanks really help him relax and disconnect from his life. He said, “It’s one of the only places where you can really get unplugged from all the noise and distractions that go on with daily life.” Thus this technique is great for relaxation. For Stephen Curry, things like stretching and distressing not just his body but his mind and soul are extremely important because it helps him concentrate on his game better. This is something that makes him one of the most distinguished players in the NBA.That was all about the workout routine, the daily routine, diet plan, sleep, recovery, and rest routine of Stephen Curry which he has shared during certain interviews and on his social media. His determination to succeed and the love and support from his friends, family, and fans have lead him to attain the kind of level that he has today.
